Unchanged: obliged to participate

As long as you are employed by Unilever Netherlands, you’re obliged to participate in the Forward pension scheme. The maximum pensionable salary is €137,800 (in 2026).

Under both the current and the new pension legislation, as a Unilever employee you are required to participate in the Forward pension scheme. This applies up to a maximum pensionable salary of €137,800 (in 2026).

You cannot opt out of participating in the pension scheme. However, starting from a salary of approximately €80,000, you will have the option to contribute less. You can read more about this option here.
