Unchanged: incapacitated for work
Would you become incapacitated for work?
- Then you will continue to accrue pension capital for the portion you are disabled, without any further contributions from you.
- Is your salary higher than approximately €75,000? Then, in addition to the WIA benefit from the government, you will receive a disability pension from Forward of up to 70% of your salary above the WIA threshold.
If you become long-term ill, Unilever will provide replacement income for the first two years.
If, after those two years, you qualify for a benefit under the Dutch Work and Income Act (WIA), the following two disability-related provisions under the Forward pension scheme will apply:
- A possible additional pension on top of your WIA benefit
This supplement amounts to 70% of the salary above approximately €75,000.
- Continuation of your participation in the Forward pension scheme
The extent of pension accrual depends on:- the degree of disability, and
- whether you are still employed by Unilever.
In the case of full disability, pension accrual will continue based on 70% of the pensionable salary base immediately prior to the end of your employment. If you (as a person who is unfit for work) remain employed by Unilever, accrual will continue based on your full pensionable salary base.
