Retirement age

You can choose to have a retirement age between 55 years and the regulatory retirement age of 67 years and 3 months or your earlier AOW-age.

The same applies to your Forward pension. The AOW age for anyone born on or after 1 January 1961 is currently 67 years and 3 months.

If you would like to retire earlier, you make this choice just before your desired retirement date. Your pension will then be lower. The reason for this is that you have you accrued less capital, but also that the insurance company must pay you for longer.
